Job Description :
Create, modify and review stored procedures, and SQL Scripts, database functions, and triggers
Take ownership of identification and implementation of performance and maintenance improvements for the current database design and application interactions.
Constantly seeking ways to re-factor code by tuning and optimizing queries
Work with Programmer Analysts and Business Analysts to gather requirements and implement changes to the databases as required
Work with QA team to help create test cases
Create new strategies and processes to help with the deployment and maintenance of databases
Expert knowledge and extensive experience with building, administering, and maintaining Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, and SQL Server internals
Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
Technically fluent in database programming languages, including SQL and PL/SQL

Desired Candidate Profile :
Strong academic background in Engineering or related field
Aptitude to learn and work on large scale solutions
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Min 2 - 5 Years exp.
