Job Description :
DUTIES
. Design, implement and support new site features for the social networking site.
. Develop optimized/cross-platform web apps using PHP/MySQL, CSS/XHTML, JavaScript, and AJAX
. Maintain awareness of best practices in the LAMP and DHTML space and promote them

Desired Candidate Profile :
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
. 3+ yrs professional web development experience. Significant experience in web technologies and in implementing scalable, high performance web apps.
. Significant experience in PHP/MySQL, AJAX/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and LAMP architecture

* Must have experience with unit testing frameworks phpunit, junit, httpunit etc.
* Experience in building search applications using engines such as Lucene a plus.
. A Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science a must.
. Understanding of object oriented development concepts, software design, software quality and performance
. Experience developing technical specifications and deliverables
. Distributed computing experience (design and implementation of applications having components on more than one server)
. Strong Written and Communication Skills and ability to work independently to drive features to completion
. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new languages and techniques
