Job Description :
System Developer (Linux)

Duties/Responsibilities:
- In depth knowledge of all things Linux, specifically:
- Iptables - experience in advanced firewall features such as NAT, connection tracking and packet tagging for QoS classification and accounting.
- Apache - experience with advanced Apache features such as Virtualhosts, mod_rewrite and mod_proxy
- MySQL - Database creation and tuning.
- Kernel - experience working with and compiling custom kernels.

- Developing HTML/Perl/Javascript interfaces for backend systems, to automate day-to-day activities, as well as add new management features
- Continual development of system delivering Internet Access to client sites
- Design, test, and integrate customized systems for delivery of streaming videos, Interactive applications and high speed internet access to various digital media devices (TV via set-top boxes, Laptops, PDAs, Mobile Phones)
- Develop, test and roll out new IP-based applications/technologies to our clients
- Continual development of new monitoring tools utilizing open source tools such as Nagios, Perl, SNMP
- complete projects, provide in-depth technical and application knowledge to the customer base, including by way of on-site assistance

Experience/Knowledge Required:
- Minimum 3 years experience with design and programming (Perl, MySQL, CGI, Linux shell & javascript)
- Minimum 2 years working experience operational experience in Network support of large global networks in multinational organization or large ISPs
- Work experience in Linux environment
- Experience modifying and creating Debian (.deb) packages.
- Thorough understanding of networking, TCP, UDP, application protocols (SMTP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge & experience in Web-based technologies like HTML, CSS, XML
- Experience with virtualization, specifically VMWARE server.
- Experience with server and network monitoring, preferably Nagios.
- Experience with network design and configuration, VLANS, routing, ACL's Monitoring with Nagios, custom Perl scripts
- Linux installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting for servers
- Experience in implementing network traffic and security monitoring software, and in optimizing server performance

Other requirements :
- University degree in Information Technology/Communications Engineering or related discipline
- Formal Qualifications in IT and Networking including certifications from Cisco (CCNA) and RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)

Additional :
- Experience in VoIP/Video Conferencing/IPTV is a plus
Note: thorough experience in Linux administration & Perl scripting is critical for the successful completion of all tasks/responsibilities pertaining to this position.

R & D - SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ASSISTANT (FPU)

Job Description :
- To design PC-based software applications.
- To perform product software operation check.
- To evaluate products performance so as to ensure that design meets required specifications.
- To prepare all necessary design modification documents whenever a design is modified.
- To make and proofread Instruction Manuals and Services Manuals.
- To work with Quality Assurance Department on product evaluation, testing, production specifications and quality issues.
- To provide technical support in order to achieve a smooth run of production.

Requirements:
- Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a reputable Polytechnic.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in R & D environment is preferred.
- Good knowledge in programming, e.g. C, C++ and Visual C++.
- A good team player with strong innovation, creativity, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to travel overseas from time to time for overseas assignments at short notice.

R & D - SOFTWARE ASSISTANT ENGINEER / ENGINEER (CPU)

Job Description :

- To make schematic diagrams and PCB layouts for software test jigs.
- To design micro-controller based products firmware and PC-based software applications.
- To perform product software operation check.
- To evaluate products performance so as to ensure that design meets required specifications.
- To prepare all necessary design modification documents whenever a design is modified.
- To make and proofread Instruction Manuals and Services Manuals.
- To work with Quality Assurance Department on product evaluation, testing, production specifications and quality issues.
- To provide technical support in order to achieve a smooth run of production.
- To purchase parts and tools for design purposes.
- To liaise with suppliers for purchase of new parts.

Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a reputable Polytechnic / University.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in R & D environment is preferred.
- Good knowledge in assembly language and C programming in Micro-Controller.
- Knowledge and experience in the design of telecommunications products is preferred.
- A good team player with strong innovation, creativity, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to travel overseas from time to time for overseas assignments at short notice.
